If you currently hold an SC 188 in the Entrepreneur Stream and wish to apply for permanent residency in Australia, you may qualify for an SC 888 visa in the Entrepreneur Stream

 

You have to:

  • Have held an SC 188 visa in the Entrepreneur Stream for at least 3 years
  • Demonstrate a successful record of entrepreneurial activity in Australia whilst you have held your SC 188 visa
  • Have resided in Australia for at least 2 years whilst holding an SC 188 visa in the Entrepreneur Stream

 

With an SC 888 visa in the Entrepreneur Stream, you can:

  • Continue with your entrepreneurial activities that you commenced under your SC 188 visa
  • Remain in Australia permanently
  • Work and study in Australia
  • Bring members of your family to live in Australia

 

Indicative Costs:

  • Government visa application charges (VAC) – AUD 2935
  • Registered Migration agent (RMA) charges – AUD 2500
  • Other charges such as skills assessments, medical, police clearance, English test etc. are applicable and can vary. Also if applicable there could be second instalments of VAC in certain circumstances.

 

Eligibility:

  • Your Australian state or territory nomination obtained for your SC 188 must be confirmed as current
  • You will need to reflect at least 2 items in Table A, or 1 item in Table A and 3 items in Table B

Table A

  • Employing at least 2 Australian citizens and/or permanent residents
  • Generating an annual turnover of at least AUD 300 000
  • Filing or acquiring an innovation patent
  • Receiving funding/investment for your entrepreneurial activity
  • Entering into a partnership with a University
  • Selling an entrepreneurial venture for at least AUD 2 million

 

 

Table B

  • Adapting your entrepreneurial activities into other business areas
  • Receiving a statement of success from your government nominator
  • Receiving sponsorship from the corporate sector
  • Starting at least 1 other business
  • Receiving formal awards
  • Raising or contributing to social capital

 

  • Your entrepreneurial activities cannot be:
    • Residential real estate
    • Labour Hire
    • Acquisition of an existing business or franchise in Australia
  • You must have a genuine intent to continue with your business activities in Australia
  • Meet the English language requirements
  • Meet the health requirements
  • Meet the character requirements
