You have to:

• Hold a current SC 188 visa in the Investor Stream
• Have a nomination from an Australian state or territory
• Have held an SC 188 visa for a period of at least 3 years immediately before the application for an SC 888 is made

With an SC 888 Investor Stream visa, you can:

• Remain in Australia permanently
• Work and study in Australia
• Qualify for Medicare
• Bring members of your family to Australia
• Travel to and from Australia for 5 years
• Ultimately acquire Australia citizenship

Indicative Costs:

• Government visa application charges (VAC) – AUD 2935
• Registered Migration agent (RMA) charges – AUD 3500
• Other charges such as skills assessments, medical, police clearance, English test etc. are applicable and can vary. Also if applicable there could be second instalments of VAC in certain circumstances.

Eligibility:

• For the whole period during which you have held your SC 188 Investor Stream visa, you and/or your spouse must have held your complying investment
• You must have been physically present in Australia for at least 2 in the 3 years immediately before you apply for an SC 888
• Have a genuine commitment to continuing your business and/or investment activities in Australia
• Meet the English language requirements
• Meet the health requirements
• Meet the character requirements
